AGC of Washington - Education Foundation
About Us
|
The
AGC Education Foundation was established in 1980 to promote
construction as a career, and to provide educational opportunities
for people within the industry. To fulfill this mission we offer
three programs.
|
|
 |
Continuing Education for Construction Professionals.
With classes ranging from blueprint reading, estimating,
supervisory leadership and contract administration, to Stormwater
management, first aid, and safety management, you can count on our
Foundation as your construction education clearinghouse! In
2006-07, over 3000 students completed construction and
business-related classes with us.
|
|
 |
Promoting Construction Careers to Youth. We
work closely with individual schools to create opportunities for
students to learn about the construction industry, and identify future
career options. |
|
 |
Educating Tomorrow’s Leaders Today. We
provide scholarships to students completing construction education
programs at Washington technical schools and universities. We also offer
grants to school and community programs that promote construction
careers. |
|
|
Every year the
AGC Education Foundation adds new classes and develops new
relationships with construction companies, schools, cities, and
workforce development agencies. Promoting the construction
industry is a long term goal that we will measure in new employees
and well-educated incumbent workers. Find out how you can
participate by taking a class, volunteering at a school, or make a
donation to support the AGC Education Foundation.
